Last night the showdown began between the Dallas Cowboys and the Green Bay Packers. This game was said to be bigger than the Colts/Patriots game. Both teams were 10-1 coming into the game that was at Texas Stadium in Irving, TX. Many made predictions before the game that the Packers were going to come out on top. But early in the 2nd quarter, Favre injured his right elbow and dislocated his left shoulder.
Tony Romo played flawlessly as he picked apart the defensive backs of Green Bay. Romo hasn't even completed 2 complete seasons as a starter, and look how good he is. He has been picking defenses apart all year and that is why the Cowboys are 2nd in the NFL with an 11-1 record. This is the best start in franchise history.
Texas Stadium has never been a place Brett Favre likes to go to. Throughout Favre's career he is now 0-9 at Texas Stadium. The Packers are down, but not out. Their next three opponents have losing records.
The Cowboys still have a lot of aspects of the game they can work on. I will be looking forward to seeing the Cowboys and the Packers butt heads again in the NFC Championship game.
